Within my practice I aim to provoke a sense of play through balancing the use of rules and logic with the constraints of unconventional materials.

I make objects and installations using found materials, often imbued with the language of construction, employing rules and humour as a point of access allowing deeper meanings to develop and unfold over time.

Through simple ‘making do’ construction methods I prioritise the provisional reflecting the possibility of future transformation or ephemerality. This flexibility allows me to assemble, disassemble and adapt sculptures to the surrounding space

I enjoy experimenting with scale, light and colour to create playful work that questions how people perceive and respond to art and the space it inhabits.  Often my work prods the boundaries of what constitutes art, embracing the value of the seemingly insignificant and investigating how familiar objects and everyday mundane activities can be elevated and reframed as an artistic expression.

I am a member of Filaments Art Collective.  Based in Kent we create art events and installations using light, thread, projection and found materials.

Graduating from the University of the Creative Arts (UCA) in 2013 with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art, I was one of seven artists selected for the Platform Graduate Showcase exhibition at Turner Contemporary.  In 2019 I was awarded joint winner of The London Group’s President’s Prize.
